The university will pause the strategic planning process for the foreseeable future to focus on immediate needs due to COVID-19, President Thomas LeBlanc announced in a message to the GW community on April 2.

 Final Recommendations of Faculty-Led Committees

GW's four strategic planning committees concluded their work and released final recommendations in April, after the university determined it would pause the planning process due to COVID-19.
 

 



Interim Reports (Jan. 24)

The strategic planning committees previously released interim reports synthesizing months of community-generated ideas for GW’s future. The interim reports included draft principles, metrics and recommendations for the four areas in which the university is focused: World-Class Faculty (PDF), High-Quality Undergraduate Education (PDF), Distinguished and Distinctive Graduate Education (PDF) and High-Impact Research (PDF).



Public Forums on Interim Reports

Provost M. Brian Blake recently moderated three forums, which included representatives of the four faculty-led strategic planning committees. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas and suggestions to advance GW. Recordings and GW Today coverage of the forums are available below.

Status Reports (Nov. 21, 2019)

Strategic planning committees previously provided reports to the Board of Trustees' Strategic Planning Task Force, outlining accomplishments, outreach efforts, challenges, preliminary recommendations and next steps on Nov. 21, 2019.
